Beloved in Christ, I hope this message finds you well and blessed in the Lord. I have taken this time to inform about the actually situation in Burundi. There is severe hunger again in Kirundo. This is one of 3 provinces that faced famine last year 2009.

While the rest of the country continues to receive rain water well enough, to Kirundo (northern Burundi) nothing goes as drought continues to rage again causing a terrible famine. The municipalities most affected by this disaster are Busoni, Bugabira and Kirundo, three belong to the region’s natural Bweru. Photo: One of many Children victims.

The reasons cited to explain this phenomenon of drought are exaggerated deforestation in this part of Burundi and the environmental degradation and climate changes worldwide.

The famine has already pushed many families to flee to the neighboring country of Rwanda others die from hunger, the information that we hold local sources say that so far no one has yet come to the aid of this population in great need of emergency help. Please help in order to save lives of the population of Kirundo, your donation is needed for this emergency help so that we can save lives of children and their parents who victims of this famine.

We present this request to you in order to request emergency help from your office so that CCD BURUNDI may meet the urgent needs of the victims of famine in Kirundo. We thank you for any support that you are going to send. May God bless you all.

I’m the founding of Burundian Thinkers, Inc. with my Co-Founding. Please email us at the above email or call us at 1+602.574.1636. However, you can write us and we’ll respond back in less than 3hrs the most. Down below, you will find about what we want to accomplish.

About Us
Burundian Thinkers wants to empower members to revolutionize the way they think and work for the success of their country. The responsibility should fall on us all to create programs, through shared knowledge and ideas that will eradicate poverty and help Burundi move toward selfsufficiency. We seek to support all Burundians, because if we uplift a people, we rebuild a nation.
Burundian Thinkers envisions a new generation of Burundians that is built upon action, regardless of the geographical distance that separates us from one another. We have the power to break the cycle of poverty and injustice in Burundi if we all stand as one. In Obama’s words, “change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change we seek.” How long will we stand divided? The time has come for us all to set aside the labels that separate and keep us from moving forward.
Our mission is to connect Burundians and supporters, sharing ideas to create a sustainable platform of change and move towards selfreliance.
Creating one family, rebuilding one nation.
